Question One: Jameis Winston

What have you seen from Jameis Winston? Do you see any signs of growth or maturity that are different from years past with Jameis?

Answer:

"“I think the biggest thing for him, in terms of adjusting with a new coach, was just having a new offensive terminology for the first time. I think that was a little bit of a challenge for him just because has had nothing but a Dirk Koetter offense for the first four years, but I think he handled that well and seems pleased with how it went.”"

More from The Pewter Plank

(in terms of any signs of growth or maturity from last year to now)

"“He very much looks and sounds like the same guy he was last year. He knows the right things to say and is trying to be a leader on this team. I don’t see a big difference there, but it is one of those things where he is putting in the time trying to get to know his receivers.”"

Auman made reference to Mike Evans and Breshad Perriman missing time this offseason with injuries as a reason why there is still room for growth and chemistry with his weapons that look a bit different from a year ago.

"“I don’t think he has had optimal time to see how they will all fit into this new offense, but that will be something he can continue to work on when they all get back together in July.”"
