Offensive Player of the Year: WR Mike Evans

This one should be a no-brainer as the Buccaneers lost their two best receivers behind Evans in Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson. While Chris Godwin will step up in a huge way in 2019, Evans is still by far the best player on the offensive side of the ball for the Buccaneers.

While the running game will be better (it couldn’t get worse) in 2019, neither of the backs will have the power to compete for the best offensive player on the team in Tampa Bay. Evans, just 25 and coming off another Pro Bowl year, should have no problem hitting 1,000 yards again for his sixth straight season.

Evans is coming off a career year in terms of receiving yards with over 1,500 yards, also finished with eight touchdowns on 86 catches. Throughout his five year career, he has totaled over 6,100 yards and 40 touchdowns on 395 catches.

While the NFC South defenses have improved over the offseason, Evans is still one of the young, dominant receivers in not only the division, but the entire league as well. He should be, far and away, the most probable to win the Offensive Player of the Year for the Buccaneers.
