Third in tight window receptions over the last three seasons
Third only to Atlanta Falcons’ Julio Jones and Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald, Evans finished third in passes that arrived to him through the tight windows of the defense over the last three seasons. Jones has 58 catches in tight windows, Fitzgerald 52, and Evans lands with 48.
Next Gen Stats defines a tight window as a ball that is caught with one yard between a defender and the catchpoint of the football. Evans is never the fastest guy on the football field, but when you have the prowess and hands that he does, it rarely matters.
The leaders in Tight Window receptions make plays even when they’re covered.

Endzone fades, back shoulder throws, or deep balls in one-on-one coverage, Evans knows how to make a defense pay. Whether it is Winston or a new rookie in 2020, the Buccaneers have a receiver they can trust to bail out their quarterbacks, making their life just a bit easier.
Evans is in elite company here too, as it is quite high praise to be in a category with just Jones and Fitzgerald over the past three seasons. Displaying a knack to catching practically anything that flies his way, the next stat will prove that even further.
