Where to draft Tampa Bay Buccaneers in fantasy football

Running Backs
The Buccaneers backfield looks very similar to last season as it returns both Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones III. Neither back has shown they are capable of being a franchise running back but Barber has shown he’s worthy of being a rotational back.

Ronald Jones III was a second round pick just a years ago and the coaching staff is hopeful Jones can shake off a poor rookie campaign. The Bucs are hopeful they can tap into the potential that general manager Jason Licht saw from him when he decided to draft him out of USC. The Bucs are expected to be playing from behind more often than not which means less running opportunities.
The Bucs running backs will need to produce in the passing game if they want legitimate fantasy value. Barber is the incumbent starter for the 2019 campaign but is actually ranked as the 42nd running back while Jones is 39th. Barber is on average going in the 11th round while Jones on average goes in the 10th round.
When you come to the time to consider adding one of these backs I think Barber provides a safer floor as a RB3/Flex play but Jones has more upside as a potential breakout candidate. If you have running back depth take a swing for the fences and take Jones but if you are looking for a guy you can play most weeks Barber is the better option.
