S Tre Boston

For some reason, safety Tre Boston remains on the open market. Presumably, Boston wants a long term deal along the lines of what the other safeties this offseason have been receiving, and no team has been willing to offer that.

The Buccaneers may be able to snag him on a discount after sitting on the market this long without finding a suitor. Boston, a five year vet in the league, is only 27 years old with a ton of football still ahead of him. He has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Arizona Cardinals to this point in his career.

Boston has been a full time starter over the last three seasons, and in that span has recorded 10 interceptions, 24 passes defended, one forced fumble, two sacks, and seven tackles for loss. He has played the past two years on a one-year deal, and it seems insane that a player with his production has not been offered a long term deal.

Should the Buccaneers still be looking to add a pure free safety and a proven starter to play next to Justin Evans at safety, Boston could be in the cards and potentially on his way to Tampa Bay.
