Right Guard

Without a doubt, the biggest hole on the entire Buccaneers’ roster is the massive void at right guard after Benenoch has been moved to tackle. The Buccaneers look to have a competition between veterans Evan Smith, Josh LeRibeus, Earl Watford, and last year’s third rounder Alex Cappa.

The Buccaneers could also add to this position group as well as camp approaches as Cappa, the presumed starter, is still not quite where the team would like him to be. Watford was drafted by Arians in Arizona, has started under him, and has a real chance to win the job as well. Cappa will be given every opportunity to win the starting gig, but if he flounders, it would not be surprising to see Watford be plugged in at right guard.

LeRibeus and Smith are more than likely battling out for a backup position on the interior of the offensive line and in all honesty for a roster spot. Smith is still not recovered from an injury that put him out all of last season, therefore cannot even be cut at this point. However, it is expected that he will be back for camp and competing for a role on the Buccaneers.

Prediction: Cappa edges out Watford for the starting job; LeRibeus does not make the final roster.
