RB Dare Ogunbowale

Running back Dare Ogunbowale has put together two great games for the Buccaneers in the preseason thus far, and as a result saw some reps with the first team offense this week in practice. Will he continue his trajectory towards winning the third down back out of the backfield tonight against the Browns?

More from The Pewter Plank

With a big 41 yard reception last week, Ogunbowale has displayed his ability to catch the ball and be a capable receiver out of the backfield for the Buccaneers. He finished last week’s game against the Dolphins with three catches for 54 yards while adding an additional 34 yards on the ground on 13 attempts.

Veteran Andre Ellington is on the ropes of the 53-man roster because of the contributions of Ogunbowale. The third year man out of Wisconsin could solidify his spot on the Buccaneers’ final roster tonight with another strong performance when the pewter and red takes on the brown and orange.

The Buccaneers would probably like to see Ogunbowale average more than two and a half yards on the ground in case Ronald Jones’ and Peyton Barber’s health or performance becomes a concern at any point this season. Watch as Ogunbowale looks to continue to build upon his success early on.
