Win-loss predictions for the Buccaneers 2019 season
Week 1 vs San Francisco 49ers
Let the story lines begin in this home opener as the Buccaneers are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. John Lynch returns for the first time since he retired as one of the best safeties to play the game and was inducted into Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor. Joining Lynch is former Tampa Bay linebacker Kwon Alexander in his first trip back to Raymond James in another uniform than the pewter and red.

This game will be determined by 49ers’ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and if he will be fully healthy and which version of Jimmy G we will see. If he is the quarterback from the last five games from 2017, then defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will need to call his best game for this defense to keep him in check which this defense is capable of.
Looking for the offense to repeat the amazing work from the opening weeks of last season and the Buccaneers could run loose as the 49ers’ defense was ranked in the bottom half of the league near the Bucs.
This is a winnable game for the Buccaneers and facing Garoppolo week one is a better bet than later on as he gets his knee back under him.
