What to do with Winston?

When it comes to what to do with Winston on your fantasy roster, I would suggest dropping him if it’s a one quarterback league and looking for someone on the waiver wire. I personally dropped Winston and added Oakland Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr, who is playing the Kansas City Chiefs.

Winston is hit or miss when playing the Panthers, and traveling on a short week does not help his case for a bounce back game at all. With the exception of one game in the last three seasons against Carolina, Winston has topped 250 passing yards only once.

Additionally, the Panthers managed to hold the Los Angeles Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff to just 186 yards passing and one touchdown, while also picking him off once. This is not to say that Winston cannot have a bounce back game, but this may not be the week to plug him into your fantasy lineup.

This is a good week to keep Winston on your bench, or even drop him altogether to stream someone else with a more favorable matchup. Quarterbacks are not fantasy football assets, so feel free to look elsewhere for your fantasy team this week.
