Which Jameis will show up today?

While the Bucs are currently in first place in the NFC South you would still like to see more production out of the quarterback position in Jameis Winston. Winston struggled mightily against the 49ers in week one but, showed a little improvement against Carolina.

More from The Pewter Plank

Winston went from three interceptions in week one to zero in week two, which is what we hope to see every week. Winston has yet to top 208 passing yards through two games and is averaging one touchdown per game. Historically Jameis does well against the Giants having totaled a 5:1 touchdown to interception ratio in three games against them.

If you are in a two quarterback league or the free agency pool is limited, then Winston could be your solution. The matchup is a favorable one for the Bucs offense and Winston should have his best game so far this season. Keep in mind Winston is having some minor foot injury issues currently and that can be something that is easily aggravated.

There are better fantasy options to start than Jameis this week, but if you are in need of a last minute streaming solution, there are worse options than the Buccaneers’ gunslinger.
