How does Winston matchup to the others?

As of now, Jameis has 1,167 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions, and while anyone who follows football can tell you the interceptions are the bane of the Buccaneer offense and Jameis alike, Winston has been able to keep those to a minimum so far this year. This puts him with nearly identical numbers as Prescott and Wilson, and more than Rodgers; Wilson’s lack of an interception probably vaults him to the front of the conversation at this point.

Assuming the stats continue as they have for the remaining three quarters of the season, Winston will end with 4,668 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. If you look at the data a little more realistically, Winston’s passing yards and touchdowns will likely look the same while his interceptions will likely drop. These numbers will put Winston squarely in the discussion for NFC Offensive Player of the Year.

Winston’s interception numbers are highly inflated as of now due to the first game of the season where Jameis threw (but was not entirely responsible for) three picks. Over the remaining three games Jameis has only thrown two, interceptions although one was a pick-six. Assuming the data from the last three games is a little more relevant, it can be assumed that Jameis’ pick numbers will look closer to 10-15 on the year, which is right around the league average.
