Start em’: Mike Evans/Chis Godwin

I’ll just come right out and say it, start Mike Evans; it’s a no brainer. Evans is one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the NFL with his tall frame and ability to go up and get passes, and should be started on a week-to week basis for your fantasy team; there should be no reason for him to be benched.

More from The Pewter Plank

Last season against the Saints Evans racked up 233 yards, 11 receptions, and one touchdown against the Saints; even if Evans doesn’t score today and tallies just half of the total from his total a year ago, that is still 16.5 points in PPR leagues. Evans will most likely be faced up against former NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year cornerback Marshon Latimore, and it will be a key matchup the Bucs need to win.

In the case of Chris Godwin, he exploded for 172 yards on 12 receptions and two touchdowns last week against the Rams. Through four weeks, Godwin has the third-most receiving yards in the league behind only Cooper Kupp, and Keenan Allen.

The dynamic duo of Evans and Godwin is really dangerous for the Saints, if these two get it going like last week, watch out. Winston will be relying on these two wideouts throughout the game and expect them both to step up again this week in fantasy football.
