Mock Draft Monday: Buccaneers use another high pick at cornerback
By Cory Kinnan
1.17: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia
First and foremost, the Bucs have to address their offensive line as quarterback Jameis Winston was sacked six times in the loss to the Saints. While the interior of the line consisting of Ali Marpet, Ryan Jensen, and Alex Cappa have been a solid unit, tackles Donovan Smith and Demar Dotson continue to struggle to stop any sort of pressure off of the edge; this issue must be solved before 2020 rolls around.

For whatever reason, in this mock draft, a top-two tackle in the class fell out of the top-15 and right into the lap of Arians and general manager Jason Licht. Georgia’s Andrew Thomas has been a force throughout the first two years of his career, starting as a true freshman for the Bulldogs, and now looks to be a lock to fall in the first round of the upcoming draft barring an injury.
With Dotson set to move on from Tampa Bay after this season and with Smith looking less and less deserving of his massive contract extension everyday, passing on an offensive lineman early in the draft is no longer an option. Thomas would be an absolute steal and slam dunk for the Bucs if they were able to get their hands on him.
