4. Case Keenum, Washington

Case Keenum is a bit of a conundrum at this point in his career. After leading a stellar campaign for the Vikings in 2017, making it all the way to the NFC Conference Championship game.

That was his best season, scoring 22 touchdowns and only seven interceptions, as well as passing for 3,547 yards. His leadership during that season was the key to their success, and he’s only two years removed from it right now.

Since then, he’s been mediocre at best.

In Denver, he fizzled, scoring 18 touchdowns and throwing 15 interceptions, which was not good enough to tempt the Broncos into re-signing him. However, he’s likely to become a free agent at the end of the season. He’s currently trading time with both Colt McCoy and rookie Dwayne Haskins, but with new leadership in Washington, the organization will more than likely look to move forward with Haskins in 2020.

However, through six games Keenum is outperforming Jameis Winston with nine touchdowns and four interceptions, making him a safer option for the Bucs next year. Though he isn’t a long-term replacement, Keenum would be an improvement over Winston in the turnover department  while the search of a true franchise quarterback prospect begins again.
