4 offensive guards the Buccaneers could pursue in free agency

4. Andrus Peat, New Orleans Saints
The fourth-best free agent option this offseason at the guard position is a current member of the division rival New Orleans Saints. Andrus Peat is a former first round pick in the same draft class as Jameis Winston back in 2015, and has started 57 games for the Saints over the past five seasons.

He is not particularly playing well for the Saints this season, grading out at a measly 48 according to Pro Football Focus, but he is only 25 years old with tremendous size and length. At 6-7 and 316 pounds, Peat has all of the physical tools and a relatively healthy history.
At this point in the season, Cappa is a better option to remain at right guard than bringing in Peat would be. In all reality, the Bucs will more than likely be content with Cappa, as he was performing to the tune of an average NFL starter before his injury.
Peat is a name, but not much more than that. The former first round pick has not lived up to his hype coming out of Stanford five years ago, and after five years with the Saints, there is a reason why Peat does not have a new deal in hand from New Orleans already.
