No, the Buccaneers are not shopping Shaquil Barrett
By Cory Kinnan
As the trade deadline approaches, rumors will begin to swirl; he Buccaneers are shopping Shaquil Barrett according to a New England radio host… right.
Welcome to wacky season, where talking head radio hosts are spewing garbage on social media. In today’s edition of verified blue checkmarks on Twitter saying whatever they want, Dan Sileo, a radio host from Connecticut has stated that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are shopping the league leader in sacks in Shaquil Barrett.
Barrett is having the best year of his career in his first season with the pewter and red. He is currently tied for the most sacks in the league with Cleveland Browns’ defensive end Myles Garrett with nine. Considering the Bucs have just three outside of Barrett’s nine, this seems unlikely that Tampa would be looking to ship him off.
There is no reason to believe these rumors, as Sileo tweeted out a list of players all over the league who were being shopped, most of them making absolutely no sense. Included in the list of players besides Barrett who Sileo claims are being shopped are:

As the trade deadline approaches, there will be more rumors like these that will come out from verified accounts. Before putting any stock into them, make sure to see who is claiming such rumors; if Dan Sileo is the author of the rumor, feel free to brush it off like it was a gentle breeze.
While Barrett is on just a one-year deal, do not suspect that he will be going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, look out for Barrett tomorrow to get after the Titans and their third worst offensive line in the league.
