Buccaneers lose, Jameis Winston throws four picks, and Mike Evans frustrated
By Cory Kinnan
The Buccaneers have lost again, this time to the Saints. Jameis Winston threw four picks, and Mike Evans was visibly upset in this game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, coming off of a win over the Arizona Cardinals, laid an egg at home at Raymond James Stadium with a 34-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs have now been swept by the Saints this season and now fall to 3-7 on the season as it is now time to move on to the offseason and 2020. Jameis Winston and Mike Evans were off all day, and frustration is obviously starting to boil over.
The Buccaneers had no offensive balance, running the ball just eight times; this includes two last minute goal line carries and two scrambles by quarterback Jameis Winston. Ronald Jones had just four carries on the day for 13 yards on the day, and added two catches for a yard as well.
Jameis Winston threw four picks on the day, and while the first one was not his fault as tight end O.J. Howard managed to somehow bobble a pass around his back, the other three were flat out bad reads and bad throws; he is now up to 18 interceptions on the season in just 10 games. Winston also finished with 313 yards passing and two touchdowns on 30-for-51 passing.

Mike Evans finished the game with four catches for 69 yards, and could be seen visibly angry after Winston was intercepted on a game-sealing goal line interception. His counterpart Chris Godwin finished the game with 47 yards and a touchdown on three catches as well.
Tight end Cameron Brate led the team in receiving with 10 catches for 73 yards on 14 targets from Winston. The Buccaneers also got good production out of rookie wide receiver Scotty Miller, who finished the game with 71 yards on four catches and nearly had his first career touchdown.
Defensively rookies Devin White and Mike Edwards shined as they continue to show depth. White finished the game with a team leading 11 solo tackles on the day, while Edwards had five solo tackles for the Buccaneers’ defense. Edwards also managed to tally the only Buccaneer sack on the day.
The Buccaneers will now prepare to take on the Atlanta Falcons next week, who have beaten the Saints and Carolina Panthers on back-to-back weeks. The loser of this game will fall to fourth place in the NFC South, where the Bucs have finished over the last two seasons.
