Pick Analysis. TE. . O.J. Howard. 80. player. Scouting Report. 48

He has not made an impact all season outside of last week, and yesterday tight end O.J. Howard was solely responsible for one of Winston’s interceptions. After a ball hit Howard right in the hands, he could not hang on to it, bobbled it around his back, then popped it in the air directly to Saints’ linebacker Demario Davis.

After this play, Howard struggled to see the field again as the coaching staff appeared fed up with his efforts on the field. Backup tight end Cameron Brate went on to see a team high 14 targets, registering 10 catches for 73 yards on the day; overall it looks like the Buccaneers missed out on the opportunity to get value out of Howard at the trade deadline when they had the chance.

Winston would go on to throw three more interceptions that landed squarely on his shoulders later in the game, but his first one can be pinned onto the former first round tight end out of Alabama. Howard has six games left to attempt to turn things around in 2019, but at this point it would not be a shock to see the Bucs try to trade Howard this offseason.

O.J. Howard, you may walk the plank!
