Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are getting their hopes up that the franchise can somehow attract one of the greatest QB of all-time to play in 2020.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently mulling several decisions when it comes to free-agency, especially at the quarterback position.

Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians and GM Jason Licht met with the media at the 2020 NFL Combine and discussed in great detail the plan for the offseason. Gathering comments from both guys, it’s clear that they’d love to have a conversation with current New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.

Because of the interest in potentially signing Brady- and the fact that many insiders believe the Buccaneers are a legitimate threat- many Tampa Bay fans are getting their hopes up that the franchise will somehow come away with one of the greatest QBs of all-time during free agency.

Most fans are taking the speculation in stride, but it’s obviously not easy to maintain thoughts on something that legitimate insiders are saying has a chance of happening.

Though most Buccaneers fans would love to see Brady come down to Tampa Bay, I would encourage you not to get your hopes up too high. The Bucs will be competing with the likes of the Raiders, Chargers and potentially others.

If Brady leaves New England, he’ll most likely be looking to increase his brand exposure and that would likely point to a move out west in this current free agent market.

However, if he did decide to hear a pitch from Arians and Licht, anything can happen. Brady would excel in the system and he’d elevate an already explosive and talented wide receiver core.

It will be interesting to see how this offseason ends up for the Buccaneers and what the organization ultimately ends up doing. There’s always dreams, but the most likely scenario is still that Jameis Winston ends up back in Tampa Bay.
