While the previously-mentioned players are the most likely to make the Pro Bowl, dark horse candidates make it all the time. Just look at Chris Godwin and Shaq Barrett. Good teams (not the case for the Bucs in 2019) often help get these overlooked players the recognition that they deserve, and the Buccaneers look like a good team so far for 2020.

Ali Marpet has been a consistent force on the Buccaneer offensive line for several years now and the recognition of playing with Tom Brady could elevate his standing.

The Bucs haven’t had a great offensive line for a while now, but Ali Marpet has been good and his stock is rising now that Tom Brady is coming to Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers also have three corners that were trending up at the end of the 2019 season. Fans should be very excited about Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting, and Jamel Dean in 2020 and there is a good chance that one will emerge as a dominant corner.

Carlton Davis is the CB1 for the Bucs and had a great season against some of the top receivers in the NFL. While he had fewer interceptions than the rookies, Davis will focus on his passer rating allowed in 2020 to try to step into the national spotlight.

Murphy-Bunting played well in several big games and got more playing time than Jamel Dean, but Dean made the most of his playing time, performing at a pace that had a chance to break the NFL record for passes defended in a single season if utilized properly.

Both of these young corners will look to make the most of their playing time in 2020 as the clear second and third corners in no particular order and a big season for any of these players could land them with some Pro Bowl votes.
