Step 2: Compete with the Saints

Tom Brady vs. Drew Brees.

We’ve already heard so much about the cross-divisional showdown that will take place twice during the regular season and potentially even once in the playoffs.

For Brady to get the MVP Award, though, he has to do enough winning to make his presence on the Buccaneers worth the significance. In other words: He has to compete with the Saints.

The Bucs don’t necessarily have to win the division for Brady to win the MVP, but they have to be really close. You’ve got to get to the playoffs and likely will need to be at least within a game of the Saints for Brady to have a chance. Afterall, we all know that Patrick Mahomes will win his division and Lamar Jackson is likely to win his, as well.
