Buccaneers: How Tom Brady wins an MVP in Tampa Bay
Step 3: Let the story take care of itself
The truth of the matter is this: The NFL MVP Award is determined by human voters. These are voters who can have their opinions swayed.
Perhaps this is Tom Brady’s greatest asset coming into this season.
If Brady leads the Buccaneers to a playoff berth and puts up great numbers in the process, the story all over the NFL will be how he has ‘proven to be more than just a product of Bill Belichick’s system’ and how Brady ‘truly is the GOAT.’
He became the oldest player in the history of the league to win the MVP Award two years ago at the age of 40. Now, he’ll have the opportunity to do it again.
You can’t tell me that if Tampa Bay– pegged by many as the new darkhorses of the NFL- comes out and wins a ton of games under the leadership of Brady that he won’t be in the conversation for the MVP Award.
And who knows? Maybe he does enough to bring it home.
