Tom Brady just wrote a heartfelt letter that appeared in The Player’s Tribune and it’s clear that he’s never been more motivated than he is now.

Tom Brady has had quite the offseason.

For the first time in his career, Brady is moving away from New England and venturing on a new path that most never thought we would see him take. When Tom Brady announced that he would be leaving New England, the thought that he would sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seemed to be unfathomable.

After all, this is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. This is a guy who has won six Super Bowls. He has thrown 74,571 yards and 541 touchdowns. So, the thought of him leaving his home team is one thing, but to venture out to a franchise where he has little-to-no connections in Tampa Bay was a completely different thing.

In his letter to The Players’ Tribune, Tom Brady talked about his time in New England and his career to this point. He then admitted that he understands that he doesn’t have 10 years of football remaining. Even though his time may be running out, Brady still believes he has the physical ability to get the job done.

"“At this point in my career, the only person I have to prove anything to is myself. Physically, I’m as capable of doing my job as I’ve ever been. Now I want to see what more I can do. I want to see how great I can be. I want to hear other people say, “Go, man. Now that’s what we’ve been missing. That’s what we need! That’s what we’ve been looking for!” Deep down I know what I can do. I know what I can bring. Now I want to see it in action,” Brady said."

Brady said that the amount of support he has received from the Buccaneers faithful and from those in administration has been incredible. He said he feels at home and that there’s nothing can stand in his way of succeeding- except himself.

"“A familiar rhythm can be comforting and great. But it can also make you lose sight of other rhythms, newer ones that remind you of everything that hasn’t been done yet,” Brady said. “One isn’t necessarily better than another — they’re different, is all. Playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is a change, a challenge, an opportunity to lead and collaborate, and also to be seen and heard. And I know my time there will be as amazing in its own way as what came before.”"

In the end, the truth of the matter is that Tom Brady has never been more motivated than he is right now.

Brady is ready to get to work and wants to prove that he can get the job done outside of New England. It’s not all about just winning, it’s about proving to the world that he is the greatest. He came to Tampa Bay because he truly believes he can do just that with the Bucs.

"“Still, I’m excited. Most of all, I’m motivated. I want to deliver for my new team, my new coaches and my new teammates. I don’t want to let anyone down. I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.….I have things to prove to myself. The only way is through. If I don’t go for it, I’ll never know what I could have accomplished. Wanting to do something is different from actually doing it. If I stood at the bottom of a mountain, and told myself I could scale the highest peak, but then didn’t do anything about it, what’s the point of that?”"

The only way is through and it’s time for the entire Tampa Bay Buccaneers fanbase to get behind Tom Brady and see what the quarterback is able to do as he treks toward historical accomplishments.
