The draft is only a few days away. Here are different mock drafts from each contributor for The Pewter Plank for the picks the Buccaneers should make.

Thursday night cannot get here fast enough. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the verge of one of their most important seasons in team history, and the 2020 NFL Draft will have a hand in the success or downfall of the team.

The Buccaneers are banking everything on an established offense with Tom Brady at the helm and a quickly improving defense to end the playoff drought that has plagued Tampa Bay for years.

The Bucs haven’t won a playoff game since their Super Bowl win, but all of that could change in 2020 if the team can meet the high expectations that hang on the shoulders of a team that has minimal collective playoff experience.

Regardless of the rookies taken, many of these first-year players will be thrust into roles that will have massive implications for the success of the team. Many of these hopes that surround the team rest on the shoulders of a rookie tackle that may not even be available for the Buccaneers to take a chance on.

Any expectations before the draft are likely a pipe dream, but there are several clear positions of need that the Bucs will want to focus on in the draft.

The most significant needs are as follows:

Offensive tackle, third-down running back, safety, wide receiver, inside defensive line

There is no specific order to the above list, but the Buccaneers will likely need to fill all of those positions at least to have the best chance of winning in 2020.

Depth is also needed across the team, and Tampa Bay would benefit from some long-shot players, but rookies drafted at the above positions stand the highest chance to play significant reps in 2020.

Without further ado, here are the final mock drafts for The Pewter Plank for the 2020 NFL Draft. As always, here’s a big shoutout to The Draft Network for making all of these possible. Got check it out and show us the best ones you can come up with!
