Ross Blacklock, IDL, TCU

The Buccaneers could have their defensive line locked up by this point, but the addition of a player like Ross Blacklock would bring an immediate improvement to the defense and has the potential to free up some cap space for the team.

William Gholston is the most likely player who would be replaced by this selection, but Blacklock has a very high upside and would far cheaper on a rookie contract than Gholston is currently.

The addition of Blacklock in the second round would elevate the Buccaneer front seven even further up from its present dominance.

Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois

Tampa Bay’s secondary would improve considerably with the addition of a consistent starting safety. The Bucs have seen an unsustainable amount of turnover at the safety position for the better part of the past decade, and that situation makes it very hard to find a long-term starter.

Jeremy Chinn has the talent to come in and win a starting job for the Buccaneers in year one. A ballhawk with a ton of intelligence, Chinn could be just what the secondary needs to take its next steps forward in 2020.

Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor

Still no running backs. The Buccaneers can find one of them in the next round. The wide receivers have been flying off the board, but that hasn’t stopped one of the best fits for the Tampa Bay offense from becoming a very viable prospect for the Buccaneers in the second round.

The Bucs need a burner WR3 and Denzel Mims would be a perfect selection. His 4.38 speed paired up with the rest of the Tampa Bay offense would make the Buccaneers next to unstoppable when they have the ball.

Honorable mentions: Grant Delpit, Xavier McKinney (would be shocking if he is still available), Marlon Davidson
