The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will know their schedule for the 2020 season shortly. Here’s our prediction for the perfect schedule.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the 2020 season looking to break a 12-year streak of coming up short and missing out on the NFL postseason.

During the offseason, the Buccaneers signed QB Tom Brady and brought back several key pieces including Shaquil Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamukong Suh. Tampa Bay also added TE Rob Gronkowski to the mix and had a solid NFL Draft that included them address the offensive tackle in the first-round with the selection of Tristan Wirfs with the No. 13 overall pick.

Though there are still a few moves the Buccaneers could make before the season begins, the next big step is seeing what the schedule will look like.

The NFL will release its schedules for the 2020 season at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Before the official schedule is released, here’s a prediction for the perfect Buccaneers schedule in 2020:

  • vs. Atlanta Falcons (Monday Night Football)
  • @ Denver Broncos
  • @ Detroit Lions
  • vs. New Orleans Saints
  • @ New York Giants
  • vs. Los Angeles Rams
  • vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)
  • BYE WEEK
  • @ Atlanta Falcons
  • vs. Carolina Panthers
  • vs. Los Angeles Chargers
  • @ Chicago Bears
  • vs. Green Bay Packers (Thursday Night Football)
  • @ Las Vegas Raiders
  • @ New Orleans Saints (Sunday Night Football)
  • vs. Minnesota Vikings
  • @ Carolina Panthers

Much of this schedule prediction was given by NFL Leaks on Twitter with just a few changes. I love the fact that you would see the Buccaneers play two home games in prime time and open up the season on Monday Night Football.

The Bucs would also have two home games on the road in prime time against quality opponents- including a late-season match-up against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night.

Perhaps the best thing about the placement of this schedule, though, is the bye week.

There’s nothing better than getting your bye week right in the middle of the season and it comes at a time where the Bucs would have played a tough four-game stretch that would include the Saints and the Chiefs.
