The most important position in football is the quarterback, and Brady is the greatest ever to do it. With six Super Bowl wins and numerous league MVPs, Brady is still a force to be reckoned with despite his age.
The signing of Brady completely turned around the outlook for the Bucs. Tampa Bay already had a decent team constructed despite the record in 2019, but the status that Brady brings to the team is unmatched.
The Buccaneers have put all their eggs in one basket, and Tom Brady’s success or failures will be under a considerable microscope due to the coverage that Tampa Bay is now getting. Brady is the best ever, but he equally shares the pressure leading into the 2020 season.
Tom Brady has left behind the coach and system that he has played with for 20 years to come to Tampa. This move was a shock for many reasons, but the underlying thought process is that Brady wants a chance to make a name for himself separate from longtime coach Bill Belichick.
Playing with the Buccaneers has to be as dramatically different an assignment that Brady can get, but he has been given every weapon imaginable to win with the Buccaneers.
If Brady has a great season and makes waves in the MVP race, the Buccaneers will likely be playing up to their expectations. If Brady struggles in Tampa Bay, the playoffs could elude the team for many years to come.
