Buccaneers are contenders with these projected starters
By Rob Leeds
Quarterback: Tom Brady
RB: Ronald Jones
WR: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin
TE: O.J. Howard and Rob Gronkowski
Because the Buccaneers predominantly run out of 12 personnel sets, the go-to lineup for the Bucs will be comprised of a running back, two tight ends, and two wide receivers.

Tom Brady is self-explanatory, considering he was the most-hyped free agents in the history of the franchise and one of the biggest signings in recent years for any team.
As it stands, Ronald Jones should retain the starting running back role. He showed signs of improvement during 2019, and the Buccaneers will keep Jones as the early-down back in addition to some third-down opportunities. Ke’Shawn Vaughn is making some waves, but expect Jones to keep his job for the time being.
Another position that is painfully easy to project is wide receiver. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are two of the best receivers in the NFL and could both experience career seasons in the new offense.
When evaluating tight ends, the Buccaneers do have several different combinations to try, but the most likely one utilizes O.J. Howard and Rob Gronkowski. Both are solid blockers with hands, and they will match up with the rest of this starting unit well.
Two additional players to keep your eyes on are Ke’Sahwn Vaughn and Tyler Johnson. If the Buccaneers were to utilize a set with three wide receivers, Johnson would then be a part of the starting 11. If the Buccaneers come out in a two-back set or a passing formation, Vaughn also stands to earn some starting reps depending on Jones’ performance in the passing game.
