The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be the darling of many national media members, but the franchise has become one of the new favorites to hate among fans.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have become one of the favorites to compete for a postseason berth during the 2020 season, but that doesn’t resonate well with fans from around the league.

The Buccaneers made the biggest signing of the offseason when they brought in QB Tom Brady and then followed that up with a major trade that brought TE Rob Gronkowski to Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers made the moves they needed to in the 2020 NFL Draft to be successful and now look to be sitting pretty heading into the season.

With all the love and deserved respect that the Bucs are receiving from many media members around the country, you know that there has to be some hate and backlash from opposing fan bases.

It’s extremely interesting to see the drastic change in how opposing fans see the Buccaneers following this offseason.

When we entered the spring, many fans from around the league couldn’t have cared less about what was going on in Tampa Bay. I would imagine that most couldn’t even name five players on the roster.

As soon as the Tom Brady signing happened, though, it put Tampa on the map.

The Bucs have now gone from that ‘lovable loser reputation’ from around the league to legitimate contenders. Because of that simple fact, we see fans begin to call the Bucs overrated and talk about the ‘weaknesses of Tom Brady’ and things of that nature.

What most seem to be forgetting, though, is that the Bucs have one of the most promising young cores in the league and are, without a doubt, ascending in the right direction.

The hate will only get stronger once we see the Bucs begin winning some games in 2020, but I would imagine that it won’t bother Tampa fans one bit.
