Free agents the Buccaneers can sign for the veteran minimum
By Rob Leeds
Sticking with the trend of going after successful players but past their prime, the Buccaneers could take a chance on wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. Tampa Bay already has a ton of depth at wide receiver, but very few players are proven.

The Bucs love their top three. There is very little chance that anyone sneaks into this group, but the depth outside of this trio is still necessary.
Scott Miller and Justin Watson are the next two players on the depth chart. Miller did pop at the end of 2019, and Watson showed some upside, but the Bucs may want to find a veteran to fill that fourth role if Mike Evans or Chris Godwin goes down.
Thomas is currently 32 and on the back end of his career, but his talent would still translate well to the Buccaneers as their WR4. His experience would immediately be greater than any of the other receivers, and 2019 showed that he still has some gas left in the tank.
It is unlikely that Tampa Bay would lean heavily on the veteran receiver. Still, he could be convinced to play on a minimum contract while also making contributions when called upon.
