Three things the Tampa Bay Buccaneers must do to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 2

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to get in the win column for the first time in the 2020 season following a loss to the New Orleans Saints to begin their campaign.

The Buccaneers will play at home in the friendly confines of Raymond James Stadium for the first time this season, but the home field advantage will be minimal as no fans will be allowed to be in attendance.

As Tampa Bay enters this game as a 9.5-point favorite, here are three things the Buccaneers must do to beat the Panthers Sunday afternoon.

3. Bend but don’t break against Christian McCaffrey

There are several talented pieces on the Panthers’ offense, but make no mistake about it: The offense lives and dies by Christian McCaffrey’s success.

It’s not about completely shutting him down or stuffing him every time he rushes the ball or makes a reception. What it is about is containing him and, for lack of a better of a term, ‘bending, while not breaking.’

Don’t let McCaffrey break off a huge amount of major runs. Don’t let him tear the defense to pieces. If the Bucs can do that, they’ll win the day in terms of the defensive unit.
