Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers Week 2 Preview
By Elias Laradi
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host their home opener vs another division foe in the Carolina Panthers looking for their first win of the season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will once again play football in an empty stadium against a team that has a new coach, a new quarterback, and a new starting defense.
Both teams have opted to play in an empty stadium due to Covid-19 restrictions for the time being.
The Bucs had a chance to see what playing in an empty stadium was like last week in their 34-23 loss to the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome last Sunday, and this should be nothing new.

The first game wasn’t pretty, as we saw Tom Brady throw 2 interceptions in one game, one of which was a pick-six, and a lot of analysts this week have said that the Bucs getting Brady was a mistake. He will aim to prove those doubters wrong against a team that is also looking for a win. The Carolina Panthers are coming off a loss to the newly minted Las Vegas Raiders.
The Panthers made a lot of moves in the offseason including a new head coach in Matt Rhule, who most recently coached Baylor, and a new offensive coordinator in Joe Brady. This is not even mentioning new player addition, Robby Anderson, making this team completely different from the one that played last season.
The Bucs will once again have their hands full with an amazing running back in Christian McCaffrey, who had a game last week, scoring two touchdowns and earning 134 yards from scrimmage.
The Bucs will be without their All-Pro receiver in Chris Godwin, who was confirmed as out for the game vs Carolina due to still being in concussion protocol. They will also be without Antony Auclair as well, who is out with a calf injury.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm and can be seen on FOX, enjoy the game !
