Tampa Bay Buccaneers should dominate depleted Broncos team
By Rob Leeds
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing off with the Denver Broncos this weekend. After a slew of injuries has ravaged Denver, the Bucs are clear favorites.
The beginning of the 2020 NFL season has not rocketed off to the start that most Buccaneers fans expected. Tampa Bay lost convincingly to the Saints in the first week, and the second week was less of a statement and more of squeak by.
Carolina and New Orleans have looked very bad at times, and the Bucs are still struggling with many of the same problems as last season. To turn the season around, Tampa Bay will need to dominate Denver this weekend.
This Denver Broncos team has experienced catastrophic injuries on both sides of the ball. Future Hall of Famer Von Miller won’t terrorize Tom Brady, and offensive players Phillip Lindsay, Courtland Sutton, and Drew Lock are also out with injuries.

Regardless of who the replacements are, the Buccaneers have no excuses to play a close game against this team. The Broncos were going to be a frisky team when healthy, but the Bucs have a clear advantage in every category now.
The best thing for Tampa Bay to do is make a statement with this game. Yes, everyone expects the Bucs to win, but they need a convincing win, specifically for morale. This is the type of game where a great team will feast, and Tampa Bay needs to show that it is great.
Most people would describe this as a “trap game.” The Buccaneers are the better team in every category, but this is the NFL, and anything can happen. If the Bucs want to prove that they belong in the postseason, this is the exact type of game that needs to end in a win.
With Chris Godwin returning from injury, Tampa Bay should be back at full strength, and there has been an improvement on the offensive side of the ball each week. Hopefully, this will be the week where the offense finally gels, and the team defines itself as one of the best in the league.
