Buccaneers: 3 potential trade packages for Cameron Brate
By Rob Leeds
Tampa Bay receives: Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 third-round pick
Jacksonville receives: Cameron Brate
Jacksonville is a likely contender to trade for Brate, given their need at the position. The Jags have sneakily constructed one of the deeper receiver rooms in the league and are still one of the teams in consideration for the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, but they could still use a better tight end.

If Gardner Minshew plays well and Jacksonville doesn’t get Lawrence, they will still want to give their new franchise quarterback every possible weapon. The same would go for Lawrence landing in Jacksonville, but that seems unlikely with the level of play in New York.
Jacksonville already has the often-injured Tyler Eifert on their roster, but they could use a proven entity like Brate to provide some consistent reps from the tight ends. Even having a duo of Eifert and Brate would be far superior to what they are currently using, and the Jags could have above-average receiving options across their offense.
Jacksonville has a wealth of draft picks in the 2021 NFL Draft and shouldn’t be against giving up one of many to bring in a sure-handed offensive weapon. A third-round pick is more than fair in this scenario for the role that Brate would play, and the Bucs would get an additional pick to build depth in an area of greater need.
