The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Chicago Bears Thursday night in an early-season ‘must-win’ as they look to remain atop the NFC South Division.
The Buccaneers improved to 3-1 on the season with a win over the Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend while the Bears lost their first game in a 19-11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Heading into the matchup, Tampa Bay is listed as 5.5-point favorite and is looking to come away with a major victory on a short week.

If you’re looking for scoring in this game, it may very well be hard to come by. The Bears have had a tough time putting together much offense and, instead, have relied upon their defense.
Chicago just made a change to Nick Foles at quarterback, but that resulted in just 11 points against the Colts this past weekend.
The Bucs, on the other hand, have been inconsistent to say the least offensively. There have been times where this Tampa Bay offense has looked like one of the most explosive in the league and there have been other times where they have been extremely frustrating to watch.
While it seems that the Buccaneers are starting to figure things out on the offensive end, a short week against a solid defense doesn’t spell success for a unit that is still finding its roles. That is only amplified by the fact that the Bucs will be without one of their top receivers in Chris Godwin and several other players- including Mike Evans, Scotty Miller and Leonard Fournette, to name a few- are banged up and may be limited in action.
Look for the Bucs to pull away late in this one, but it will be much closer than what fans would like for comfort, even if the final score doesn’t particularly spell that out.
