Tampa Bay Buccaneers take a tumble in NFL Power Rankings ahead of Week 6

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took a tumble in the latest NFL Power Rankings as we progress towards Week 6 of the 2020 season.

The Buccaneers fell to 3-2 on the season with a loss to the Chicago Bears Thursday evening on a short week. Tampa Bay suffered several injuries and that short week certainly didn’t help them as they were looking to continue a winning streak.

With that loss, the Bucs tumbled in the last NFL Power Rankings.

NFL Spin Zone released its complete team NFL Power Rankings following Week 5 and heading into Week 6 and had the Buccaneers ranked No. 11 in the league. Previously, Tampa was ranked No. 7.

Buccaneers have their work cut out for them in Week 6 and moving forward

The Bucs are still ranked as the top team in the NFC South Division ahead of the New Orleans Saints (No. 13), Carolina Panther (No. 16) and Atlanta Falcons (No. 31).

That being said, it’s clear that the team has their work cut out for them as we head into the rest of the season. The Bucs will play the Green Bay Packers this coming Sunday at home in a game that will absolutely be one of the top matchups of the week.

While the Packers have one of the best offenses in the league, they do have some deficiencies defensively that the Bucs may be able to advantage of. The key, really, will be getting healthy again and that’s why this long week came at the perfect time.

There’s no doubt that this Buccaneers team has the talent to be a legitimate postseason contender, but it all starts with health and with the players in that offensive unit learning their roles and building chemistry.
