Buccaneers have two clear DPOY candidates on their roster
By Rob Leeds
Tampa Bay currently has the best linebacker duo in the NFL.
As far as NFL pairs are concerned, Lavonte David and Devin White may be the best in the league. As two captains on the defense with extreme talent and incredible knowledge of the game, White and David are prominently featured on a weekly basis in the Buccaneer defense.

While injuries have ravaged the NFL this season, David and White are still the best duo during a healthy season. In fact, this duo likely cracks the top-five for best linebacker pairs of the past decade, and they are only working on their second season together.
With a duo like this, the Buccaneer defense is extremely hard to slow down. David and White threaten every element of the offense, and they mirror each other in a way that speaks to their understanding of the game and the stellar coaching they are receiving from Bowles.
Tampa Bay would be lucky to have either of these backers on their roster at one time, but having both is unfair to the rest of the league. David and White have generated considerable buzz every week regarding their high level of play, and they find ways to show up on the stat sheet even when the other is feasting on the offense.
Even with lessened opportunities, both Buccaneer linebackers are on pace to make some noise in the DPOY voting, and the stats clearly back it up.
