Potential future Buccaneers playing in Florida-Georgia game
By Rob Leeds
Kyle Trask, QB, UF
If you don’t know who Kyle Trask is yet, you probably haven’t been watching much college football this season. Trask exploded onto the scene in a Dan Mullen offense that has finally gained its legs, and the senior quarterback for the Gators has been one of the highest risers on most draft boards.

Players like Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields sit in a realm of their own, but Trask has a very legitimate shot of landing in the first round based on an extremely impressive projected season.
The Gators are three and one to start the year, but that is no fault of Trask and the offense. Florida has one of the best offenses in college football, but the defense has done the team very few favors. If Florida had even an adequate defense, they would still be undefeated going into Jacksonville today.
While there may be some question marks in Gainesville, Kyle Trask is not one of them. There is still some room for Trask to grow, but playing at a Heisman pace leaves little to critique. Trask makes good decisions in the pocket, has a strong arm, and his confidence would be a welcomed sight in Tampa Bay.
Trask would be an excellent option for the Buccaneers to draft in one of the earlier rounds to replace Tom Brady down the road. Tampa Bay doesn’t need anyone to step in now to make any changes, and Trask could use one season behind Brady to refine his game and step into a starting role in 2022.
