Three positive storylines for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers past the midseason point of 2020

As we blow past the midseason point for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s becoming clear that this team has a chance to compete for something special.

That certainly wasn’t on display in the latest game that saw the Buccaneers get blasted 38-3 at home by their divisional rivals, but it still doesn’t mean it’s there.

While Tampa Bay fans continue to lick their wounds, here’s a look at three positive storylines for the Bucs as we progress through the remainder of the 2020 season.

3. Tom Brady has shown great flashes

Tom Brady played his worst game of the season- perhaps one of the worst in his career- against the Saints this past Sunday, but it doesn’t mean it’s all been bad.

When the offensive line has blocked for him, Brady has shown great accuracy and poise. He is still in the process of developing chemistry with his wide receivers- the Bucs just added Antonio Brown and basically everyone else has been injured at one point or another- and we’re still seeing him put up nice stats.

Brady isn’t this ‘dried up geriatric veteran’ that some want to make him out to be. He has the skills and experience to lead this team past a disappointing loss and to still have a successful season.
