Best hands at the position?

Even if the Buccaneers made the switch just before their week 14 matchup against the Vikings, Miller would immediately have the best hands in the running back room. Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette, and LeSean McCoy have struggled in this role and catching passes. Miller would be a stark improvement.

The route tree that Miller would run at running back would be far less complicated than at receiver and would be very quick to learn. Miller could even put his own flair on some of these routes and make a name as one of the best pass-catchers out of the backfield in the league.

While Miller wouldn’t be the best between the tackles, the Bucs don’t need him for that role. He has taken some hits in the past to lead people to believe that he could handle the occasional run, but the Buccaneers would only need him to finish out this season on third down before they find a replacement in the offseason.

Miller is great in space, sure-handed, and already has a great rapport established with Tom Brady. This move is unconventional, but it plays to the strengths of everyone involved. Brady would get a running back with better hands than anyone else at the position, and Miller would finally get back to four or five touches a game.
