No. 1: Tom Brady, Patriots pull off the epic Super Bowl comeback vs. the Falcons

It has to be Super Bowl LI, right? There can’t be any other game ranking higher for Tom Brady.

While some could come close, fans will forever remember how Brady and the Patriots found themselves trailing the Atlanta Falcons 28-3 early in the third quarter of Super Bowl LI. No one had previously come back from that big a deficit. And considering the Falcons boasted one of the best offenses in NFL history and were featuring an MVP quarterback in Matt Ryan, those first-half scores by Atlanta seemed like a series of knockout blows from which Brady and the Pats could never recover.

But they did.

Brady got the Patriots back in the game with a late third-quarter touchdown. That was one thing. Atlanta still had a commanding lead. It was, however, what Brady did in the fourth quarter that forever established himself as the GOAT-like legend, hushing any questions anyone might have had about his abilities.

With less than six minutes in regulation, Brady hit Danny Amendola to make it a one-score game. And while Atlanta’s offense flamed out, Brady took advantage of a tired Falcons defense, tying things up with with a successful two-point completion to Amendola following a 1-yard touchdown run by running back James White.

Once the Pats tied things up at 28 apiece, everyone knew what the overtime result would be.

Brady ultimately led his offense down the field in the extra frame, letting White cap off his fifth Super Bowl crown, setting the new record for most Super Bowl wins in a player’s history.

And achieving the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time, too, forever putting this win at No. 1 in his epic career.
