Through three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield has already cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks in franchise history.

That can partially be attributed to the team’s lackluster history at the quarterback position, but Mayfield has been legitimately impressive throughout his stint with the team.

With a strong 2026 season, he can break an all-time franchise record and continue to cement his Buccaneers legacy.

Mayfield currently ranks No. 3 in Bucs history in passing touchdowns, with 95.

He sits behind Jameis Winston (121) and Tom Brady (108).

Mayfield only needs 26 touchdown passes to tie Winston atop the franchise leaderboard, and 27 touchdown passes to own the record outright.

Mayfield has reached 26 touchdown passes in all three of seasons in Tampa Bay so far, and even reached 41 in 2024. If he stays healthy for the entire season, it’s all but guaranteed he’ll own a piece of franchise history following the season.

Mayfield is in hot pursuit of several other records as well, and while he might not be able to reach them in 2026, if he signs a long-term extension in Tampa Bay, he’ll be able to quite literally rewrite the team’s record books over the next few seasons.

Mayfield is 11 wins away from tying Trent Dilfer the most regular season wins by any quarterback in team history.

He’s exactly 7,500 yards away from tying Winston for the passing yards record, which would be accomplished over the next two seasons if he keeps his current pace.

Of course, Mayfield isn’t playing for individual records. His biggest priority is joining Brad Johnson and Tom Brady as the quarterbacks who’ve led Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl victory.

But while it’s not the main goal, it must simultaneously be vindicating for Mayfield, after being given up on by several teams early in his career, to finally find his long-term home and promptly become a top quarterback in franchise history.
