On Saturday, safety Shilo Sanders signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shortly after the 2025 Draft ended. This came after his younger brother Shedeur Sanders was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, making it a special day for the family of Deion Sanders, who also coached both of his sons throughout their life.
However, the family arrived to this special moment after traveling a rocky road during the three-day draft. Of course, Shedeur’s unexpected slide into the fifth round was the biggest point of adversity for the family, but Shilo also had to make a big change before officially starting his career in the NFL.
The young defender live-streamed the family’s experience on all three days, allowing fans to see them navigate the journey. On day three, Shilo Sanders told viewers that he and his brother had been moving through the pre-draft process with their Hall of Fame father as their representation, but since that didn’t result in them being drafted in the first two days, he decided to hire an agent.

"Dad was our agent, but that hasn't been working out too good. So today I had to sign with an agent"

Initially, everyone thought Shilo was joking, because he enjoys making jokes about his family members, especially his father. However, veteran agent Drew Rosenhaus shared on social media that Sanders joined the Rosenhaus Sports Representation family.
Shilo Sanders signed with an agent before joining the Buccaneers
Throughout the pre-draft process, it was often pointed out that neither of the Sanders brothers had representation. Everyone understood that their father, who has been on this journey before, was advising them. However, with Shilo going undrafted, it was important for him to have official representation.
With the rookie pay scale, first contracts are essentially fixed based on where a player is selected. That’s why Shedeur, who went in the fifth round, is still without representation. Shilo, on the other hand, became a free agent when the draft ended, so he had to negotiate a deal to join the Buccaneers. With Rosenhaus and company now on his side, he got things figured out.
