Over the past few years, Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans have certainly had their takes when it comes to head coach Todd Bowles. Say what you want, but the proof is in the pudding. Bowles has been good for Tampa.

And, it appears the organization agrees, as the Bucs officially signed Bowles to a multiyear extension.

Once again, there will be a portion of Bucs fans who see this news and immediately grab a pillow or wall to scream at or into. But, my question, when it is all said and done, is this: How can you possibly complain about the end results over the past four seasons?

Bowles deserved the extension, but he wasn't the only one who received a big deal. General manager Jason Licht was right beside Bowles in the same breath, as he also signed a multiyear extension.

Todd Bowles and Jason Licht earned every bit of their new Buccaneers extension

As Adam Schefter pointed out in the above-linked post, Licht is the fifth-longest tenured general manager in the league and is going into his 12th season on the job. He's helped the Bucs win a Super Bowl and, alongside Bowles, three-straight NFC South titles.

There will be those who might say the Bucs barely won the division over the past three seasons, but they still won it, nonetheless.

Bowles and Licht have been able to keep a strong offensive core together, meanwhile adding even more talent to that side of the ball. They've helped in assisting the Baker Mayfield resurgence, which is one of the best stories in football over the past few years.

Go ahead and point to the overall losing record for Licht (85-95) but, at the same time, there have been several general manager firings in the past four seasons; the number reaches double digits.

Licht and Bowles deserved these deals, and the Bucs are an ascending team. This all simply makes sense, so if you're one to complain, go ahead and grab that pillow.
