Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans' favorite pasttime is dunking on the New Orleans Saints, which has been pretty easy to do in recent years. While the Saints do appear to be trending in a more positive direction (unfortunately), they're still giving Bucs fans plenty to chuckle about.

One of the bigger names in free agency this year was K'Lavon Chaisson, who was coming off a stellar year with the Patriots. During a YouTube vlog that detailed Chaisson's journey in free agency, it was revealed that Chaisson had a larger contract offer from the Saints but, as we know, he ultimately signed with the Commanders.

The Saints offered Chaisson a three-year deal while the Commanders only offered him one year, but he opted to bet on himself. In doing so, he turned down the Saints, which is music to Bucs fans' ears. Chaisson chose the known commodity in Jayden Daniels over Tyler Shough.

Bucs fans will enjoy what K'Lavon Chaisson did to the Saints in free agency

Chaisson was a former first-round pick by the Jaguars in 2020 and spent four years with them before bouncing around the past few years. He played for the Raiders in 2024, the Patriots in 2025, and now will be with the Commanders in 2026. More often than not, it feels like players would take the longer contract because it gives them more stability but it's quite hilarious that he decided not to sign with the Saints.

As mentioned above, Chaisson cited Daniels as a reason he wanted to play for the Commanders. Yes, the Commanders had a down year in 2025 but Saints fans seem to think their team is on the rise and clearly, Chaisson didn't agree.

"I don't know about the Saints," Chaisson said in the vlog. Again, music to Bucs fans' ears. Had New Orleans signed Chaisson, that'd have given its defense more juice and for a fanbase that has been feeling hopeful this offseason, it's better for Buccaneers fans that this deal didn't go through.
