We've reached the end of the softest part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' schedule, and the team will need to nail the landing. Things got super dicey last Sunday in Charlotte, a game the Bucs should have easily won but barely managed to do so.

Now comes another potential trap game against the Las Vegas Raiders, a team that is down bad but has still shown the type of fight that could catch the Bucs off guard if they're not careful.

Last week the Raiders nearly pulled out an upset win on the road in Kansas City with a bizarre end-of-game sequence that seemed to have screwed them out of a chance to kick a field goal. That's the team the Bucs are going to be dealing with on Sunday, as Maxx Crosby and an angry defense will be looking to take out their anger over what happened on Black Friday.

Tampa Bay is the better team by far, but they'll need to play perfect football not only to win but also to keep the vibes right. There's zero margin, and the Bucs can't afford any slipups the rest of the season. Making matters even more dramatic, a win on Sunday coupled with a loss by the Falcons would put the Bucs back in first place in the NFC South.

It's safe to say that there's more on the line in a game against the Raiders than we otherwise would have thought.

Who are the announcers for Buccaneers vs. Raiders today?

Today's game is going to be broadcast on CBS, which means a new announcing duo for Buccaneers fans to listen to at home. Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta will be on the call in Tampa Bay this afternoon, marking the first time this year they've made the trip down to be in the booth for a Bucs game.

Head Referee (Crew Chief)

For the second time this year, Alan Eck will be officiating a game for the Buccaneers, which is a bit of a good news/bad news situation. The Bucs are 7-4 in games that Eck has officiated or been part of the officiating team, but the last game he called was the Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Tampa Bay has another trap game against an AFC West opponent today in the Raiders, although it could be argued the circumstances are a bit different. Denver, it turns out, is a good team and will probably be in the playoffs this year, while the Raiders are 2-10 and racing toward getting the No. 1 pick.

If anything, this could be a redemption game for the Bucs after laying a dud in the last game Eck was a part of.

Full Officiating Crew

Here's the rest of Eck's crew that will be returning to Tampa Bay with him in Week 14:

  • Umpire: Tab Slaughter
  • Line Judge: Derek Anderson
  • Side Judge: John Jenkins
  • Field Judge: Dale Shaw
  • Back Judge: Greg Myers
  • Center Judge: Derick Bowers

Buccaneers vs. Raiders TV channel and start time (December 8th)

If we're rolling with vibes and how they might impact what happens on the field for the Bucs, then the fact that the game is on CBS might bode well for them. This is just the second time this year that Tampa Bay will be playing a game on the network with the first being the blowout win over the New York Giants a few weeks ago.

That's a win that got this little streak the team is on going, and has helped get the season back on track. There's nothing tangible from an X's and O's standpoint that having the game broadcast on CBS does, but it doesn't help to have the vibes on Tampa Bay's side.

Here's everything you need to know to catch the game:

  • Date: Sunday, December 8, 2024
  • Start Time: 1 pm ET
  • Location: Raymond James Stadium | Tampa, FL
  • TV Channel: CBS
  • Announcers: Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta
  • Live Stream: Fubo (Locally)
  • Radio: WXTB 97.9 FM | More Radio Affiliates

This is the last early window game the Buccaneers will be playing in until the end of December. Next week's game is a 4:25 pm ET kickoff time against the Chargers with the following week's game against Dallas being played on Sunday Night Football.
