Life is good for Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans. The good guys are 2-0 and are coming off an upset win over the Detroit Lions despite being massive underdogs going into the game. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the NFC South, the Carolina Panthers don't look any better than they did a season ago.

The Panthers, now led by former Bucs offensive coordinator Dave Canales, are 0-2, benched Bryce Young (who they gave up a crap ton for in order to move up to number one to take him), and the end doesn't appear to be in sight for Carolina. Now it appears that everyone in Charlotte is turning against them, which makes this situation even funnier.

A local restaurant in Charlotte has a display outside that is keeping track of how some of the more well-known former Panthers are doing in 2024 so far. On the display is Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Matt Rhule. Mayfield is 2-0 with our lovely Bucs, Darnold is 2-0 with the Vikings (who no one thought would be any good this year), and Rhule is 3-0 as the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Also included on the display is Bryce Young, who is 0-2 and now benched. When the city turns on its team, that's a sign that it isn't your year and probably won't be anytime soon.

The Buccaneers don't play the Panthers until December, which is when both of their match-ups will take place. There's a very slim chance that Carolina has its crap figured out by then and for the Buccaneers' sake, let's hope that the Panthers have completely punted on the season by that point and are tanking for the number one pick.

Hey, at least if the Panthers are bad enough to get the number one pick again, they A) actually can use the pick and B) didn't have to give up a king's ransom to get to that spot. In the meantime, Bucs fans are going to enjoy laughing at their division rival as much as humanly possible.
