Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made his broadcasting debut over the weekend, providing color commentary for the game between the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys. Brady wasn't awful in his first-ever game in the booth but he definitely had his fair share of mistakes.

Between dead air when Brady should have been offering some kind of insight to the awkward fist bump "Don't leave me hanging" moment with Mike Pereira, there's plenty that could have gone better for the former Buc.

While Brady was in the booth beginning the next part of his career, Scott Hanson was on Year 16 as the host of NFL Redzone. When Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey banged through a 66-yard field goal, that if a delay of game penalty didn't wipe out would have tied an all-time record, Hanson noted that Brady lacked enthusiam in the booth.

When this was pointed out by social media, Hanson took to X to apologize to the former Hall of Fame quarterback. "This was unfair & inconsiderate by me. Yes, I was saying it tongue in cheek - but I didn't calculate how it may come across. @TomBrady, I apologize. I promise I am rooting you on in this new venture!"

Brady clearly wasn't bothered by Hanson's comments and reassured him on X that he was fine with the criticism. He even went as far as joking that he'd spike his headset if a 70-yard field goal ever happens.

Tom Brady not bothered by Scott Hanson criticizing him during broadcasting debut

It was only Game 1 of Brady's broadcasting debut so of course there are going to be bumps in the road here. Anyone who heard Hanson's comment in real-time didn't take it as a shot at Brady. It was a cool moment (before the flag was thrown) so it would have made sense for him to show some excitement at the play unfolding. We don't need him to go full Tony Romo on us or anything but there's a happy medium here.

Brady's next game will feature the Cowboys again, as Dallas hosts the New Orleans Saints. If Brady takes a shot at the Saints at any time during this broadcast, Bucs fans would greatly appreciate it.
