So far, it seems like Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Shilo Sanders is fitting like a glove. Whether that ends up resulting in him earning a roster spot is yet to be seen, but as we head toward training camp, he's positioned himself far better than most could have predicted.
His brother is in a similar, albeit different, position up in Cleveland. Shedeur Sanders doesn't have to worry about his spot on the 53-man roster; rather, he's fighting to win the Browns' starting quarterback role. The only thing Shedeur has been racing toward is a speeding ticket—two, to be precise.
Sanders was recently issued a ticket for going 100 mph in a 60 mph zone, something Shilo wasted no time jokingly mentioning on the latest episode of Tampa Bay Food Tour.
Shilo Sanders trolls Shedeur over recent speeding tickets
“I know we out here in Tampa we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,” Shilo said.
Ahhh, how about a little brotherly love to lighten up our day?
Shilo has been making a name for himself around Bucs camp, and for all the right reasons. The Sanders brothers were viewed rather negatively coming into the NFL Draft this year, something we saw when Shedeur slipped from being a potential first-round pick to not getting selected until Day 3.
The slide was even worse for Shilo, who didn't hear his name called at the podium at all and ended up an undrafted free agent. However unfortunate, it's something that has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for both Sanders and Tampa Bay; everything we've seen from Shilo thus far has been impressive, whether it's on the field or off.
It's the off-field stuff that raised some concern among fans, but Shilo has subverted expectations by being nothing but humble when pressed about his role on the team and a breath of fresh energy everywhere else.
This little troll about his brother getting into some trouble is further evidence of that. We'll see if he ends up making the team but there's a clear path for him to make that happen and so far he's managed to stay out of his own way.
