I was almost certain after the preseason ended that there wouldn’t be any more instances of players in the power rankings one week and cut the next week.
Well, it happened again here in Week 4. Both Kevin Ogletree and Ahmad Black were in the rankings a week ago, now they are trying out for other teams. Jeff Demps is the big new name in the rankings despite his multiple awful return decisions. Also, Mike Glennon took a bit of a dive after his underwhelming debut.
Previous Rankings: Pre | P1 | P2 | P3 | P4 | W1 | W2 | W3
Rank | Player | Synopsis | Change |
| Gerald McCoy | Best game of the year. He is an absolute stud. | – |
| Darrelle Revis | Shut down Fitzy for every play but one, but it hurt. | – |
| Lavonte David | With a week off, I want to see some improvement in pass defense. | – |
| Mason Foster | Same as Lavonte. | – |
| Dashon Goldson | I know he avoided the fine this time, but he almost seems to be seeking them out. | – |
| Doug Martin | Did you know Doug is 4th in the NFL in yards and 1st in the league in carries? | – |
| Mark Barron | Didn’t think he was great in the Cardinal game, but it’s been clear when he’s not on the field. | – |
| Vincent Jackson | All receivers get a pass until Glennon gets acclimated. | – |
| Donald Penn | Why do people give this man a hard time? He’s been good for four straight weeks. | – |
| Carl Nicks | Getting his feet back under him. Looked more comfortable last week. Should be good vs. PHI. | – |
| Akeem Spence | He deserved to move up, but there wasn’t a spot for him. Excellent vs. Arizona. | – |
| Dekoda Watson | Watson has been solid all year, any piece of that defensive effort deserves credit. | – |
| Adrian Clayborn | Can I please get some sacks? | – |
| Mike Williams | Highly paid WRs with a rookie QB. Seems weird, I feel for the WRs. | – |
| Leonard Johnson | Banks got the pick, but I thought Johnson was the reason for the dominant first three quarters. | ↑5 |
| Johnthan Banks | How sweet was that interception? I wish I could remember a play like that in a win. | ↑5 |
| Demar Dotson | Actually graded out well in pass protection. Run block, not so much. | ↓2 |
| Jeremy Zuttah | Rough game, but first time with new QB under center, I’ll let it go. | ↓2 |
| Jonathan Casillas | It’s official, I like Watson better. | ↓2 |
| Jeff Demps | Breath of fresh air on the offense. The whole organization can use some fresh air. | ↑6 |
| Da’Quan Bowers | I’m just not impressed. Sorry. | ↓2 |
| Gary Gibson | He hit the QB! When’s the last time we could say that. | ↑4 |
| Mike Glennon | Freeman wins that game. Might end up being a blessing, but still. | ↓5 |
| Davin Joseph | Yuck. That was not his finest effort, I’m starting to get nervous about him. | ↓5 |
| Tim Wright | Someone had to be 25, this should not be seen as an honor. | ↑1 |
